WHY TEENAGERS BECOME WHAT THEY ARE

Teenage is the best part of one’s life. Dr APJ ABDUL KALAM once said that “thinking should be a capital asset, no matter whatever ups and downs you can come across in your life.” Teenagers often think of two things in their mind. They are either extremely angry or happy. Have you come across teenagers with attitude? I’m sure you would have seen this attitude. Let us understand why these things run in their mind. This feeling of these teens will be commonly labelled as “attitude”.

In handwriting analysis the handwriting of teenagers will be evident in their writing. Since handwriting comes from the brain and hand is just a medium to write. The reasons for this change in the teenagers is that they will start researching on sex, feeling of attraction towards opposite gender etc. Once these teen goes through this change in their hormones and would be evident in their attitude. The other reasons can be the reason of the childhood, if the teen had a bad experiences like conflicts between parents, the loss of either of parents, sexual harassment etc. Dr. BUNKER, a graphologist and certificated handwriting analyst conducted a research on around 1000 teenagers on their attitude. He observed that teenagers will have conflict between their emotion and logic. The consequences of these thought in a teenager’s mind can lead to misleading path like drugs, smoking etc.

Neuroplasticity is the change in neural pathways and synapses that occurs due to certain factors, like behavior, environment, or neural processes. During such changes, the brain engages in synaptic pruning, deleting the neural connections that are no longer necessary or useful and strengthening the necessary ones. Neuroplasticity is one of the main reasons for the change in attitude and ways to seeing things. It would lead to attraction of opposite sex.

FEAR OF FAILURE

Believe it or not, the fear of failure is amongst the worst of fears. Some parents want their teens to be the best at everything they do, be it studies, sports, debates, or something else. This, along with various other expectations, puts an unbearable amount of weight on kids’ shoulders, putting them in a state of constant stress. The feeling that they do not have what it takes to be successful or that they cannot meet the expectations of their parents is frightening for most of the kids so they prefer quitting rather than fighting. This is the one of the leading reasons for the suicide cases of student who fail in exams. The vision of the parents should be to support them to follow their dream and not to burden them with things which children dislike. Most of these tendencies can be evident in the handwriting of the teens.

Dr JILL BOLTE, a brain scientist conducted a experiment on micro expression for the teens and children. Micro expression experiment is unlike regular pro-longed facial expressions, it is difficult to fake a micro expression. There are seven universal micro expressions: disgust, anger, fear, sadness, happiness, surprise, and contempt. They often occur as fast as 1/15 to 1/25 of a second. The face is the best indicator of a person's emotions. Dr BOLTE conducted this experiment for around 58,000 students. What do you think the result would be? As told earlier the expression of teens will be shown in extreme anger or happiness. Whereas with the adult they got all the emotions right. With this experiment DR JILL understood that the period of teen in one life’s is the time when their neuropathways are being developed. This one of main reasons for the conflicts between the teen and parents. This is the time in their life where they would prefer or want more attention by the parents. At times over attention can lead to more consequences.

As a Certificated Handwriting Analyst, we go through the teenagers handwriting and find one thing in common in everyone is that they have the issues with their choices and style. Role of social media plays an important role in the teens life. Their mind and body only will be fixed towards their mobile, laptops etc. The misuse of the internet is most common thing which youth are facing and we can see increasing trends in web abuses in India. Teenagers should be properly educated on the cyber issues and how to overcome them.

How often have we seen the teens not talking to anyone or being an introvert? Every teen goes through this phase of lack of expressions. The main tool that can help the teens is graphology, NLP(Neuro Linguistic Programming), hypnosis etc.

Teenagers heart is just like hot iron, it can only be moulded when it is hot else you can’t get a proper shape out it. The present day teens can be related and understood by this beautiful quote of SWAMI VIVEKANANDA “ mind is not a dustbin to keep anger, hatred and jealousy. But it is the treasure box to keep love, happiness and sweet memories”.
